Chinese New Year

Kuala Lumpur Campus

In celebrating Chinese New Year at Fairview International School, Kuala Lumpur, our canteen area was filled with joy and laughter as everyone enjoyed a range of break time activities, such as Mandarin-orange-peelingand- eating competitions, as well as a ‘pick-up’ race using chopsticks. There were great singing and dance performances by various groups of students and the most anticipated finale was a stunning lion dance performance.

Penang Campus

To celebrate this year’s Chinese Lunar New Year (CNY) with an abundance of joy and prosperity at Fairview International School Penang, staff members and students organised a line-up of events to usher in the Year of the Goat. Kicking off the event was a spectacular Chinese war drum and lion dance – a combination believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck, an abundance of happiness and wealth. Performances that followed included an eco-runway fashion show, a unique piece by the Drama Therapy Club, a well-synchronised Grade 8 performance, and a delightful dance by our Creche and Reception students.

Johor Campus

Students and teachers were busy-bees preparing to usher in the Year of the Goat this year at Fairview International School’s Johor campus. Students got to work weeks beforehand preparing for performances and the big day saw them donning different cultural attire and presenting diverse showcases ranging from dance exhibits to drama acts! The entire place was bedecked out festively, serving as the perfect backdrop for the event, with the festive atmosphere heightened as family and friends joined in, eagerly snapping pictures of the event!
