The Middle Years Programme’s Grade 10, students were involved in developing their application of trigonometry by finding the heights of numerous objects around the school grounds. Their task saw them using a clinometer to estimate the heights of these objects using the trigonometry concepts studied in class, and they were able to explore how trigonometry is used by surveyors and engineers. These Grade 10 students displayed key attributes of being IB learners, by working together and collaborating with each other using the right methods and through inquiry.
